#1 In a medium sized bowl, whisk flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside #2 In a large bowl, use a mixer on high to beat the butter and sugar for 3 minutes or until light and creamy #3 Add almond extract, egg, and vanilla extract and paste to the large bowl. Mix on high for 1 minute or until combined #4 Gradually add the dry ingredients to the large bowl and mix on low until combined #5 Separate the dough into thirds. Placing each in their own bowl. Add orange food coloring to one third, yellow food coloring to another third and leave the final third as is #6 Roll out each layer of dough individually. Once all thirds are evenly rolled out, layer them (plain, orange, yellow). Cover the layered dough and refrigerate for 2 hours #7 Remove dough from refrigerator. Slice vertically into quarter inch strips. Cut into triangles. (Should look like candy corn) #8 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or baking mats #9 Place triangles on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes
